Saeed Anwar scored 194 on this day against India

It was Pepsi Independence Cup sixth match, Pakistan team won the toss and decided to bat first. No body knew that some one will break the previous record of Viv Richards unbeaten 189 against England at Old Trafford. It was baking heat of Chennai when Saeed Anwar was beating. In his inning of 194 in 144 balls he scored 22 fours and 5 sixes with the strike rate of 133.

A Supporting Hand:

In the present Shahid Khan Afridi is known as the striker of Pakistan Cricket team. He assisted Saeed Anwar by acting as a runner from 19th over to the end of his innings as Anwar was dehydrated. Many journalist believe that it was Shahid Afridi who is mainly responsible for this inning since it was a sweltering heat of Chennai and he did all the running work. But the journalist forget that it was India and Pakistan playing against each other and playing like that in such pressure is really meant to be an outstanding inning. Anwar himself said: "To beat India in India is something special. Only we know the pressure we were subjected to back at home after our loss at Bangalore in the World Cup."  Also in the same match Tendulkar assisted Rahul Dravid as a runner( for a short while). Dravid also scored a hundred in that match.

Hatrick of Sixes:

Saeed Anwar hit three sixes in a row to Anil Kumble in this outstanding innings. According to Sachin Tendulkar: 'Saeed Anwar's 194 innings was the best I have ever seen.' Pakistan team scored 327 with the loss of five wickets. Anwar was caught at fine leg by Sourav Gangully in 47th over. In reply Indian team whose batting have always been strength scored 292 all out in 49.2 overs. Aaqib Javed took five wickets.

"Saeed Anwar was awarded Man of the Match for his marvelous inning."

Adam Gilchrist signed off from IPL in Gangnam Style

You have seen Gayle, Darren Sammy and other players doing various moves or performing Gangnam style. Yesterday, it was a former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist who was playing his last match of  IPL and astonished every one by picking first wicket in his very first ball in IPL.
Mumbai Indians who have won the toss and decided to give KXI Punjab batting. Gilly only scored 5 runs and it was unpleasant to see such a fine player ending his career by scoring only 5 in the last match. It is also notified that he has lead Deccan Charges in second edition of IPL and march them victorious in that edition.
Gilly's stats in IPL are:

The way Mumbai Indians middle order collapse it was pretty distinct that King's XI Punjab has full control on the match. But it was not an ideal end for a batsman like gilchrist. He has scored two hundred's in IPL, caught plenty of catches and scored eleven fifties. Also a trophy of IPL. What he doesn't achieved was a single wicket. Alas! he picked the wicket of Harbajhan Singh and signs off permanently from IPL in Gangnam Style. Gilchrist this year performance was not fill with wonderful knocks but his ability of producing performances from others were astonishing. His act of jubilance will always be remembered in IPL history.

So What If We Not Score a Triple Century, We are the best

So What If we Not Score a Triple Century, We are the best.

2012 and the starting ’13 both have got some sad news from cricketing world. Mostly from batters who
Have retired from International cricket Like Dravid, Laxman, Sachin(In ODI’s), Ponting and this year first person Hussey. All of them were wonderful to watch when they come out to bat for their nation. But it is surprising that all of these great names and institution of batting techniques have never made a triple century. Now that is something ridiculously uncommon between them.
Highest scores of the above players in test cricket:

Sachin Tendulkar-248*
Ricky Ponting-257
Rahul Dravid-270
VVS LAXMAN-281
Mike Hussey-195*
In contrast to them those who have learn cricket from them, played with them and were the great fan of their techniques have scored 300. Like Sehwag who is the biggest fan of 10dulkar as well as of the other two Indian batsman has made it two times, Clarke who has learn a lot from Ponting and wants to be like him did it last year against India. Still Tendulkar has its test career but he will be contended to score a useful runs rather than a long-mark of triple century. And if we see the batsman of same era who retires before them a couple of years ago having like Jausuriya(340), Lara(400*), Inzamam(329) and Hayden(380) they all has made triple century. And if we see the coming era of batsman which will retire after them having Younus Khan, Sehwag, Mahela Jaywardane, Gayle, Clarke they all have triple centuries in their pockets. Kallis is out of the topic as he is the best all-rounders who will be known as a complete high profile all-rounder not as a high profile batsman or bowler so just put him aside. Considering about Sangakarra he is still left to score a triple century although he touches that feat by scoring 287. Perhaps, one has to sacrifice among the two partners. As Hussey didn’t make triple century but his partner made it. Also in case of, Sangakarra-Jayawardnae and Younus Khan-Muhammad Yousuf.
Triple Century is a great honor and a milestone for a batsman and you can’t rebuff from it. It is only Lara who denies it by scoring a 400 knock in international test matches and 500 knock in the first class. It brightens your batting career and it put a great pressure on the opponents that there is someone who can score all day by himself.Conclusively, Triple Century is not the only milestone which will make you a great batsman. It is although a bloody single most wanted inning which comes under the caps of few. It shows the sign(s) of peaks in the graph of your career and the time when you were the best in the world.

Getting a triple century definitely means that you have recorded your name among the finest batsman
in the world. But not scoring, will not make you small even by microns; perhaps if you did other things right.
There are list of many great batsmen who have never scored a triple century like Gavaskar, Miandad, Steve Waugh and tons of others and they all are regarded as a greatest batsman in the world. It is just a bloody desirable milestone for every player who plays test cricket.
May be Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting never desires for that….

Sachin Tendulkar Retires from ODI's

Sachin Tendulkar Retires from ODI's

This is another sad news from cricketing world from last month of December. First it was Ponting's retirement and now the little master. But more than that he retires before Pak-Ind ODI series which will commence in first week of 2013. The great master has many achievements under his name.He made his debut on December 18, 1989, as a 16-year-old against Pakistan. He played his last ODI on March 18, 2012, also against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
- Most number of runs in ODI's-18426
- Most number of hundreds in the ODI's-49
- Most number of nineties in the ODI's
- Most number of man of the matches in the ODI's -61
- Most number of man of the series(15) in ODI's
- Best average for man of the matches in ODI's
- First man on Planet to score a 200 runs in an ODI.
- Most number of fifties in ODI's - 96.
These stats are not new for an Indian follower or Sachin's fan. But from now onwards there will be no increment in these numbers.Sachin was admired by lot of people he is the honor of cricket. He is more then a legend.
His words for Indian Cricket team as he retires:
”I would like to wish the team all the very best for the future. I am eternally grateful to all my well-wishers for their unconditional support and love over the years.”

2012 Cricket Moments

2012 coming towards the end; Here are Top 5 cricketing Moments which highlights-2012 cricket season.
Let's Check it out:

1.Tendulkar's Tons of Ton:

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar scored his 100th hundred against Bangladesh in Asia Cup at Dhaka. He scored 114 runs in the match. Although India lose the match but they achieve something bigger which suppressed the feeling of loss. After scoring 99 centuries he was out twice in the 90's against South Africa. It was one of the brightest moment and Everest feat of cricket which looks difficult to be conquered in future. He is also one of the two batsman who scored 200 century in ODI cricket. The other is his batting partner Virender Sehwag. Thus Tendulkar's tons of ton was one of the brightest moment of 2012.

2. Clarke's Triple Century:

It was the second test of Border-Gavasker trophy @ Sydney Cricket Ground where India won the toss and chose to bat first. They were all stumbled at 191. Australia were 37/3 when Clarke's came on the ground along with him was former captain of Australia Ricky Ponting was on the crease. From no where the brilliance came out from Clarke's bat and he scored an unbeaten of 329 which cruised Aussie in a driving seat in the test match. Hussey also make an unbeaten of 150 showing the strength f Australian middle order. He has passed 1000 runs in a calender year-2012 which also comprises of two double centuries.

3. Cook's 7000 Runs Feat:

Cook become the youngest batsman who scored 7000 runs in a test match which was previously hold by S.R Tendulkar. He achieved this milestone in third test match at Eden Garden-Kolkata against India. Can he make 50 centuries in a test matches like Tendulkar?
Boycott said: “He’s going to get a lot more unless he suffers some serious illness or injury. He’ll be way up towards 40 by the time he’s finished.” There is a lot of expectation from this young captain of England who have also scored the highest runs in Asia as an English Player. England leading the series 2-1 and they are looking stable in the fourth test match against India.

4. Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar and Ponting's Retirement:

This year Cricket said good bye to three legendary players: Dravid,Laxman and Ponting. The names are written on the bases of chronological order of retirement of these players. Dravid and Laxman who serves India for 16 years took the retirement from International cricket arena. The absence of Dravid and Laxman really hurting India in test matches as we can see. Although young batsman are opted to took the charge but it will take time to fill the gap. On the other hand Ponting who retires in the same month in which he started his career (December) will surely be missed. He played 168 test matches for Australia and in those 168 Aussie won 100 test matches. In his presence Australia has won 3 World Cups and 2 under his captaincy. He is the only captain of Australia under whom Australia white washed England in the Ashes. Thus 2012 was the ending year of three great test players.  The little master retires from ODI's after scoring 49 centuries in the format and will play no more ODI's although will be seen in test cricket. He has played his first and last ODI against Pakistan.

 5. West Indies won the World Cup and Gayle's Gangnam Style:

ICC T-20 world cup 2012 was lifted by West Indies which were looking strong on the paper. Chris Gayle really thrashed the dreams of Asians who were looking favorites for this year T-20 World cup. West-Indies who have achieved some thing bigger after a long long time. Few years ago they were rated as one of the weakest team but they break the ice. Darren Sammy who is the captain of West Indies feels that we can become one of the dangerous team as we were before. Chris Gayle was one of the biggest memory of T-20 world cup who has outclassed cheer ladies from his Gangnam style dance. His presence on the pitch causes anxiety and worriness for the opponents however crowd gets fluttered from his huge sixes and Gangnam Style.
