Khan, Kumar and Kulasekara Unplayable From New Ball

Bowling requires a great physical effort and it needs a lot of fitness. But it is not enough to pick wickets. It is also not necessary that a bowler should have some devilish looks to under pressed the batsman . Khan, Kumar and Kulasekra don't look so horrible at all.
Khan, Kumar and Kulasekra

However they are the ones who have been well aware of their strengths i.e bowling sharp in-swingers to right hand batsman. Also they can bowl the other one pretty well. Perhaps, they are not as fast as those who bowl with them from the other end- Irfan, Malinga and Sharma. But they make sure that the batsman may find himself helpless against them. They have really make the life of batsman completely horrible when they come out to face them. Whether, it is Nasir Jamshed who scored two centuries against India recently, was forced to avoid playing B. Kumar as he picked him on the first ball in a T-20 match. Also he is more known in Indian team of picking Tendulkar on duck in domestic match. Also, Indian team whose well known top order collapsed by brilliant bowling of Junaid Khan. And today, N. Kulasekara who pick up fifer against Australian and restrict them on 74. Thanks to Aussie tail as they resist a bit to score more than 70 which is their previous lowest total in an ODI.

The three of them become pretty difficult to read from the new ball. As they bowl in and out with out changing anything in their action which may assist the batsman to play them. N. Kulasekra is not any new entry in Srilankan line-up like the other two, he has been bowling splendid well since couple of years for Srilankans. His disciplinary bowling is an extra advantage which you may not found in the other two. And that is because he is an experienced campaigner. But that is for sure they both will learn quickly as the time passes.

Also on the other hand you can't forget there partners which look deadly from their stances. Malinga's hair and slingy action, Sharma's hair (it may some times give him problem more than others) and his good height. lastly but the latest, extra ordinary height and bowls consistently with 140+ kph bowler- Muhammad Irfan. They definitely support them from the other end. Perhaps, sometime more than that. But in Test Cricket format we will find that Khan, Kumar and Kulasekra (he is doing that) supporting others from their discipline which is the key of bowling in test cricket.

Muhammad Irfan: He is the Tallest Not the Youngest

There are many tall height bowlers you may found; many in England such as Chris Tremlett, Broad and Finn. But expecting an Asian team to have the tallest bowler in cricketing history is unbelievable. Those English players are more or less touching 2m and 7 ft mark but Pakistani left arm fast bowler Muhammad Irfan is about 7'1" tall and has recorded his name as the tallest fast bowler in the history. West Indians were also having some giant fast bowler Joel Garner(6' 8.5") and Ambrose(6'8").
He is the tallest fast bowler in the history but not the youngest. From Left to Right; Kamran Akmal, Muhammad Irfan and Asad Shafiq

But the story not ends up here He needs to learn a lot. Being tallest is a great advantage for any bowler but being fit and strong makes you a great bowler. Young bowlers do have those advantage like Aamer had, Waseem had and alot of them.

Fitness Is the Key:

He is 30 years old and he has now step in to cricket. That is really unfortunate for any fast bowler. He need to give special attention to his fitness. Look around some great fast bowlers like Brett Lee and James Anderson. They took there fitness very seriously. It is very Important as a fast bowler to be fit or else his tall body will be useless. As because of not being fit he was unable to represent Pakistan for so many years.

Avoid Playing Too Many Leagues:

If we see James Anderson who is currently the best fast bowler. You never see him playing IPL, Big Bash, SLPL and BPL. It is pretty unfortunate for fast bowlers to play world wide in too may leagues unlike the Batsman. Because there team needs them in best form. Irfan needs to do the same if he is really serious about his cricket so he should avoid playing for the money as too much money will be an early exit from the National Side and slowly from the leagues. As National Camps are the best place where you can be nourished fabulously. He should give priority to Pakistan national Side and yes there are many big gaps in International tour so he can play in spare time.

Quick Leaner:

Muhammad Ameer was a quick learner he rises brilliantly. From T20 world cup 2009 he reaches to Pakistan Test team and where he assigned the role of strike bowler against top class English batsman in there ground. Irfan should learn from him also from his mistakes. I am sure he is 30 so he will not do the mistake as Ameer did. But he really needs to be a good learner he needs to bowl on the right spot on the right channel and has to be as precise as Ameer was.

Pakistan team has produced great fast bowlers in history and also currently they have got excellent bowlers in the bench. Pakistan is very fortunate that they have such a threatening bowling line up which is rarely found in the world. Many teams have great fast bowlers but poor spinners. Pakistan is very fortunate that they have extra ordinary talent in both the depart. Even in Past Pakistan team has great combination of fast and spin. Let us see how well Irfan does with his remaining years of Cricket?
